After departing Caminha, Portugal, we crossed the Minho River into the northwest region of Spain. Galicia is green and bordered on the west and north by the Atlantic Ocean. We stayed a couple of nights at Camping & Glamping Muineira in O Grove mainly because it was one of the few camping parks open in January. Above is the view from our motorhome's entrance door.

Playa de Raieros, the beach below the camping park, consists of a near perfect crescent around this small, peaceful bay. Above you can spot our motorhome on the left overlooking the beach, and my husband Brian on the rocks near the center.

While walking along the beach, I happened upon this shell arrangement made by the most recent high tide. I did not realize at the time that the scallop shell in the center served as foreshadowing for the next day's visit to Santiago de Compostela.
