Nazare, Portugal

Located on the Atlantic coast, Nazare is a unique town in Portugal, and one of our favorite spots. The Camping Orbitur Valado caravan park, located in a quiet and shady grove of tall pines, is within walking distance of the town of Nazare. With its narrow, cobbled streets, waterfront walkway, and sandy beach, Nazare is a delightful place to explore on foot.

The fort and lighthouse located on a point that divides Nazare's two beaches affords panoramic views of the coastline and the waves that attract surfers from around the world. This area of Nazare can be reached by a modern funicular which provides its own views of the town and colorful hillside.
